Jaxs fish ‘n’ chips

Purpose: Thank you Note

Dear Jax

Thank you for coming to Rangikura school to share your awesome singing opera show.

My most favourite part was when the salesmen came and did a silly dance.  Also what I really liked was when Nemo and the salesmen did a cool handshake.

I would really love it if you and the awesome actors would come back next time and do another cool opera show.

Yours sincerely

About me

This is my work I have been working on in 9 weeks these are all the things that I had did.

The top part of my work is my Mihi I had to write our principals name ,  Teachers name ,  My school name ,  my class name , How old I am,   my parents name ,  my Family's name ,  where I Was born and I also had to write my own name

The right part of my work is what I thought manaakitanga and whanaungtanga mean to me. manaakitanga means partnership, protection, participation, And to be helpful it also means to have good manners.  Whanaungtanga means a sense  of belonging to a group it also means your whanau[family],friends. It also means to be a kind person.

And at the bottom is my identity where I think about what makes me special and it also means that it does not matter who you are it is just what makes you special.

In the middle of my work  is my family The big kurus represent my mum,dad and the little kurus  represent me and my three sisters.

My Book

Easy Blog Photo
Hi this is my Duffy book that I received today.  This book was by Yvette Poshoglian and illustrated by Danielle McDonald.  This book is about when Ella has a hair disaster.  Ella had a hair disaster because her little sister had cutten her hair but then her mum helped her fix her hair.  After that Ella rushed to the performance before it was to late but she was right on time and she got to dance with her new hair.

Harakeke is known as Flax are often found in lots of  gardens. Before you start cutting the harakeke(flax) say the karakia(prayer). Another thing you need to know is don’t cut harakeke in the rain you can only cut it when it is sunny. You musennt cut it when it is in flower. you can only cut it when has finished flowering. Another thing is that the left overs must be cut up small and put under the plant. One more thing is don’t cut the three middle flax. The baby flax in the middle is called a Rito and the outside of the baby is its parents and its parents are called  AwhiriRito.
