Harakeke

Harakeke is known as Flax are often found in lots of  gardens. Before you start cutting the harakeke(flax) say the karakia(prayer). Another thing you need to know is don’t cut harakeke in the rain you can only cut it when it is sunny. You musennt cut it when it is in flower. you can only cut it when has finished flowering. Another thing is that the left overs must be cut up small and put under the plant. One more thing is don’t cut the three middle flax. The baby flax in the middle is called a Rito and the outside of the baby is its parents and its parents are called  AwhiriRito.
